1948 Cleveland Indians season

The 1948 Cleveland Indians season was a season in American baseball. The team won a one-game playoff against the Boston Red Sox and would then go onto win their second (and, so far, most recent) World Series in franchise history, its first in 28 years. ''Sporting News'' ranked the 1948 Indians the 9th-best team ever.
